In practice
Enable under Settings → Account → Privacy. Save the 12-word recovery phrase and upload key escrow so new devices can unlock. While locked, synced rows show placeholders until you enter the phrase.
Alert delivery: scheduled financial reminders use a generic cloud ping for E2EE accounts; your device evaluates amounts after unlock. Lock-screen text stays generic until then. See Alerts & push settings.
